Good morning January 01, 2024… Trust is always a risk.
Hope to add four classes of water to my daily routine and ten leg raises & ten sit-ups!
My school bus route doesn’t begin again until the 8th of January… so I have a few days to-myself..

2022 promises nothing, but a New Year!
I came across this poem, I would now like to share:
“As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn’t supposed to ever let you down probably will.
You will have your heart broken probably more than once, and it’s harder every time.
You’ll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when your was broken.
You’ll fight with your best friend.
You’ll blame a new love for things an old one did.
You’ll cry because time is passing too fast, and you’ll eventually lose someone you love.
So, take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you’ve never been hurt, because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness, you’ll never get back.
Don’t be afraid that your life will end. Be afraid it will never begin. Live simply.
Love generously.
Care deeply.
Speak kindly.
Leave the rest to God.”

Good morning, and Happy New Year!
There are a lot of predictions that come with the changing of the calendar. Following 2020’s massive market correction and new bull market, many are expecting some kind of big event in 2021.
It could go either way. A recovering economy could lead stocks to further massive gains. Or some new virus or unforeseen issue could wreak havoc on the economy. But the biggest surprise of 2021? It’ll probably be the fact that it’s downright boring compared to 2020. After the hectic year that just passed, we’ll take it.
Happy New Year, happy trading, and here’s to a prosperous 2021!
Now here’s the rest of the news:
Will The Fed Lose Control In 2021? –Alistair Macleod, Zero Hedge
Bubbles will then pop, leaving investors exposed to the collapse of fiat currencies, bonds and equity markets. The question is, what will replace them? [Read Here]
The global economy has taken a major hit this year due to restrictions put in place to deal with the pandemic. In the U.S., we’ve seen unemployment spike while GDP craters. But it’s just about over now, right? Because the vaccine will magically protect us from COVID-19, unemployment, and inflation. If only. Even the most optimistic economic forecasts look grim. Here’s what you need to look out for in the year ahead.

This is now: January 01, 2020
Three years ago, I started a personal blog, Rob’s Personal Blog. My reasoning was to post daily, in a place that I could control and later, to look back over the years to see what may have been on my mind — a history. In 2017, I was working for Calgary Co-op. Today, I’m retired … but enjoy keeping busy playing Bridge, flying my recreational drones, going for mocochinos at Good Earth, bicycle riding & geocaching with friends, and … back in my home-office … learning everything to-do-with graphic arts & design on my mac … including web building, logo design, animation and video editing. Working primarily on my own projects now, by the end of January, 2020, I plan to be fully-self-employed and paid as a freelance graphic artist.
Cataract surgery is a go for January 13th, and 20th — and after a short recovery — there-will-be-clearer-vision in 2020. 😉

Good mornin’ sleepy heads!
My wife and I were a bit north of Calgary, in Airdrie, for New Years!
Bill and Chris Jones had us playing card, shooting pool, and eating, and eating, and eating. Thanks again guys for a fabulous night. We even accepted their invitation to stay overnight and drive back to Calgary when the sun came up!
Cleaned around our place in the afternoon while Caryl called home, back in England to her sisters & nieces. A few hours later we were back out of the house to spend some dinner-time around the supper table with mom and family. Tomorrow, most of the clan head-off to work! Before bed, Caryl and I like to read, which we did. Good night all… goodnight!
A new day and a new set of goals for the year 2019. Only an other 364 days left … we’d better get crackin’. Until tomorrow … chow!

First picture of the New Year must include my closest friends!
[from left to right around the table: Chris, myself, Bill Jones, and across from me… my wife Caryl]Wishing you and your’s the best year ever!
P.S. Had a great day! After leaving Airdrie, Alberta after midnight, and returning to Calgary in cold & snowy winter driving conditions, (we) went straight to bed. I had to get up at 6:00 A.M. to be at work at seven. Worked eight hours, came home to warm home and a loving wife! Had supper, watch a few recorded TV programs, said “Good-night” to Caryl, then I slipped upstairs to bed, this time setting the alarm for 4:00 A.M.
