Good morning.
Investors tend to dislike uncertainty. However, investing is the process of determining future outcomes, which are riddled with uncertainty.
The cryptocurrency space is currently facing a number of uncertainties. The collapse of exchanges such as FTX has led to investor losses and increased uncertainty. Regulators aren’t helping either. The CFTC, in its suit against Binance, is listing cryptocurrency Ethereum as a commodity, rather than a security. That interpretation opens up Ethereum’s regulation to a different group than if its listed as security.
Once this regulatory uncertainty goes away, chances are the price of Ethereum, or any other crypto, will move higher. For now, investors should tread lightly, but use big drops in price to build a long-term position.

Good morning.
Investing during a times of crisis can mean starting a small position as a hedge against an extreme event. Case in point, some investors have turned to gold in recent weeks, as Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is the classic example of a geopolitical risk that can be good for the price of the metal in the short-term. Others have gotten into Bitcoin, which promises a further disconnect from the current global financial system and fiat currencies in general today.
These moves partially reflect the fear that the current market pullback could be the start of something bigger, potentially even the end of today’s financial system. There’s always some systemic risk in any system, especially one that needs a lot of top-down interventions by central banks or governments.
Chances are the transition away from the status quo won’t be as pronounced as many think. Be prepared for extreme events – but don’t over prepare.

Good morning.
The stock market volatility in recent weeks has left the stock market still near all-time highs. But with some large daily swings, and with tech stocks down much more on average, the sentiment is still somewhat bearish.
Overall, that points to a slowing of the longer-term market rally, not the end of it. Some of the big speculation in tech in the first few weeks of the year has taken a pause. That’s normal in a bull market. As a result, investors and traders alike should look for short-term fears as a buying opportunity, particularly in fast-growing tech plays.
How have you shifted your trading strategy in today’s choppy markets?

Today … It’s my 69th Birthday! … Yes! … “Too late to die young.”
As many well-wishers are texting messages, emailing, and speaking on the phone with me … I’d like to say a special thanks to Es who sent me this brother-in-law birthday card.
We did, have to unfortunately, postpone this years’ Pfanntastic Pannenkoek Haus get-together with friends and family due to the Coronavirus outbreak. Everyone’s first priority is to keep healthy and safe! Thanks everyone … we will get together soon! XoXoXo

Our EXAMPLESHIP creates our legacy
Brian Carruthers wrote this article … and I couldn’t be more proud to share it with you and your family today!
I’m teaching Colton before he’s 2 about 10X Mindset. This kid is OBSESSED so I doubt he’ll ever be average. #beobsessedorbeaverage #10x (Grant Cardone’s book The 10X Rule)
People question if I’m legit all the time. They say “If you really made $20M+ then why are you still building and working??”
I tell them I’ve barely even started to scratch the surface of my potential. And my mission is bigger than just me. And I tell them that if I got lazy now and slowed down, I’d be teaching my little kids the wrong lessons of work ethic, ambition, and going for it in life. I want them to find their passion and get attention on it. Build their empires on it. #buildinganempire
Money is only a part of the overall picture. Net worth is just a measuring stick for how much value you’ve brought to the marketplace. IMPACT IS EVERYTHING. I want to make the world a better place. I want to teach my kids to do the same.
Let’s all know and remember … our AMBITION sets the tone for those around us. The greatest gift we can give our kids is not monetary inheritance. It’s mindset and attitude and ambition and work ethic.
If we are lazy, if we are not going for it with urgency each day CONSISTENTLY, not only do we not accomplish big goals and create big success for ourselves, but our playing small adversely affects everyone we care about. Our EXAMPLESHIP creates our legacy … good or bad, big or small. You can’t tell your kids they can accomplish anything they want in life while you’re playing small and not accomplishing much. They will look at you as either a hypocrite or as someone just blowing hot air that they don’t even think you believe yourself.
Many parents think spending tons of time with their kids is most important. I feel that a balance is crucial — your kids need to see you hustling and winning, and having SOME time when you can just chill with them. But it is GOOD FOR THEM to miss you, and see that you are doing important things in life. That teaches them ambition, purpose, and real life skills. Yes, kids spell LOVE as T-I-M-E. I totally agree. They want you there a lot, but they NEED you to go be a winner example for them as well. Again, it’s a balancing act.
So I choose the 10X mindset. I am building empires with people, impacting lives all over the world, helping all those people become heroes and great examples for their kids. My three boys will know their Dad as someone who had impact. Yes, I made crazy amounts of money as well. But it’s the impact they witnessed that will serve them well in their futures.
Go 10X your life. Do it for you, do it for your family, do it to leave your mark. 😉

Happy Birthday to me!
Happy Birthday to me!
Happy Birthday … Happy Birthday … Happy Birthday to me!
Yes, today is my birthday anniversary. I have lots to be grateful for … the off work today is one of them. Chilled out for the day! Pre-paid for my flight from Halifax, NS to Saint John’s, NF later this September.
Also booked my accommodations for Saint John’s, hoping to see the “Jelly Bean Row” houses, the Cape Spear Lighthouse, and the place where Marconi sent the first wireless trans-atlantic communication, Signal Hill. Plan to a lot of Geocaching in and around St. John’s. [I’m excited…]
