Good morning.
The Definition of CHANGEWe’re always on the lookout for unusual moves in the market.  They could point to the start of a bigger trend… or a potential danger for investors to avoid.  Right now, natural gas looks like it could see a big move in the months ahead — up or down.
Since the start of the year, prices have decreased, in part due to seasonal factors.  However, since the start of the year, two natural gas ETFs have been big buyers of futures.  And capital has flowed into them, more than doubling their net assets.  Now, these two ETFs, BOIL and UNG, have about 30 percent of all front-month futures for natural gas.
That high concentration will likely cause the market to see some unusual price moves in the months ahead. And chances are natural gas prices could see a spike higher in the months ahead.  Traders should be cautious here, and look for ways to go long on natural gas with energy stocks.

The Power of Positivity

Motivational speaker Jim Rohn is famous for saying, “You’re the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with.”  Take some time to think about that.  Seriously.

Are those 5 people you associate with most positive-minded, encouraging, and supportive?  Do they energize you and inspire you to be your best?  Do they share similar values and goals.  Do they listen to you and empathize with you?  Are they there for you through thick and thin?  Do they give you a genuine pat on the back for your accomplishments?  Do they provide you healthy accountability and help raise awareness to self-sabotaging tendencies?

Diversity Equality Inclusion write on a sticky note isolated on Office Desk.Or, is your inner circle more likely to be negative, pessimistic, and defeatist?  Are those 5 people energy vampires holding you back?  Do their priorities conflict with your own?  Do they expect you to listen to them but never return the favour?  Are they fair-weathered?  Do they talk behind others’ backs (maybe even your own)?  Are they jealous of yours (and others’) successes?  Are they judgmental?  Do they secretly (or openly) hope for the worst for others and purposely attempt to bring them down?

I think you get the point.  If you want to live a healthy, happy, successful, and fulfilling life, you need to surround yourself with positive, like-minded people — which is often referred to as positive social support.

Positive social support is exceptionally important for good physical and mental health.  It can enhance resilience to stress, increase longevity and quality of life, reduce levels of inflammation, enhance immunity, promote healthy weight management, improve mood, enhance self-esteem, improve feelings of well-being, enhances vitality, encourage kindness, enhance sense of belonging, increase empathy for others, lead to greater levels of trust and openness, and promote positive behavior changes.  In the case of the latter, positive social support is a linchpin for making healthy changes in every domain of life.  And finally, positive social support allows us to create wonderful shared memories.

So, who makes up your inner circle?  Is it time to make some tough decisions?  Is it time to make some new acquaintances?

You’re simply marvellous,

EducationGood Morning.
The market may have finally succumbed to the news and we saw the bears really take control for the first time in a couple months.  The size of the move and the failure to stage a late rally places market participants in a difficult position.  Frequently, you ‘ll see the market find support in the coming days off of extreme moves like this, but this is really uncharted territory.  At this point the bulls may not have the resilience or resources to hold on.

Calling a market top may be a fool’s errand, yet we are compelled to point out that like few other times in history, speculative investors are pumping money into low-quality, virtually valueless (and literally bankrupt) stocks.  It begs the question, could we be on the precipice of an economic dumpster fire?

Now here’s the rest of the news:

Why the Next Boom in Housing Is In Full Swing

“There are going to be some good properties that have some short-term struggles and they are going to need additional capital.  Partnering with the owners of those properties … will allow them to get to the other side of COVID-19.” —Goldman Sachs

In the housing market right now…

  1. Investment firms are buying real estate, which will likely help drive the next leg higher in the real estate market.
  2. Homebuilders aren’t building homes, which will limit supply on the market and drive prices higher.

So possibly if you’ve set some cash aside for a real estate opportunity, it’s a great time to put that money to work…

“High achievers spot rich opportunities swiftly, make big decisions quickly
and move into action immediately.”
—Robert H Schuller

Up early this morning, as I’m going for my FREE hearing test.

Actually it’s better than free, AirMiles gives out 75 Points to those that go for the ‘hearing test’ in the month of June.  It was literally a 7 minute bike ride and a 30 minute audio exam.  My audio evaluation was fine!  The weather warm, calm & sunny; what a beautiful day.  Like most people, as they get older, the range of hearing drops off.  We tend to miss the detail in the words we think we hear.

When my wife says, “She’s taking up pottery!!” I must ask her to slow down and repeat the message, otherwise, I’ll have my bags packed and be waiting at the airport ‘Ready For A Very Long Vacation’ thinking she has just said, “We have won the lottery.”  Anyway … I usually check the tickets … nothing this week!

P.S.: I charged the Caddy’s battery with an charger I had from Canadian Tire.  “Car’s electrical system” sprung back to life.  Looks like the ‘caddy’ is in need of an alternator.  Trouble is the alternator not easy to replace, buried deep inside the engine cavity, and the car still needs a rear engine mount!

Until later!
